Excited for what looks to be Frattins come back! Huge upgrade to the 3rd line. I would switch up Kulemin and JVR for this game. Kulemin always creates space for his line mates and he could make some room out there for Phil. They played together a couple of years ago and they were great together. I don't no why our coaches are so insistent on keeping Grabovski-Kulemin together. Yes they both speak russian but they have been horrible together for a while now... Change it up for a game... or at least a few shifts.

The Leafs dealt Mike Brown to Edmonton for a conditional fourth round pick on Monday morning, a move partly necessitated by looming roster decisions.
One such decision is Matt Frattin, who could be in line to return from a 9-game layoff (knee) against the Devils on Monday. Dave Nonis said that Frattin would be a game-time decision.
Had they not traded Brown the Leafs would have been forced to clear a roster spot either through waivers or limited reassignment to the Marlies. (Only three players in addition to Frattin are waiver-exempt). By trading Brown the Leafs can activate Frattin and sit right at the 23-man roster limit.
Nonis also noted Frazer McLaren's performance in a similar role to Brown as "definitely a factor" in the trade. McLaren was picked up on waivers from San Jose, playing in 15 games for the Leafs.
Nonis denied a recent report suggesting that Mike Komisarek had demanded a trade. According to Nonis, Komisarek expressed that he would be open to a move if it served the "best interests" of the team but would rather contribute with Leafs.
Lupul meanwhile, according to Nonis, has had no setbacks in his recovery from a broken forearm. Nonis said Lupul first needs the injury to heal completely after which he can begin to regain strength and start shooting the puck.
