Not sure what system Lav has put in place here b/c I don't see one. Looks like 5 guys out there just doing their own thing.

To me it’s not a lack of system but rather guys not capable of playing the system (or not playing it well right now). Our forechecking is non-existent, we are losing every puck battle on both ends. Combine that with OV struggling to finish and guys like Hathaway missing the net on point blank shots and this is the result.

His only contribution this game was killing possession every time he touches the puck. Meanwhile Sprong is sitting and we could use him instead.

I don't think we are really built that way. Who's supposed to play that kinda game on that team? Grandpa Ovechkin? Hagelin? Panik? Vrana?Sheary? Dowd? They got Hathaway, Wilson and kinda washed up Oshie with some grit to their style. That's all.
