I’d listen on offers. I’d also wait to see how the lottery and draft develop so the Devils have an idea of what assets they’re working with. They can keep Hall as part of the core, even as he gets older, declines, and takes on a lesser role....I’m fine with this.
They can also treat him and Palmieri as transitional players that won’t be part of the next competing Devils team. If Shero can move then for a broader foundation and base of talent I wouldn’t be upset either. In the long run, if flipping Larsson and a few below-first round picks eventually leads to title contention I’d consider it a win.
The return for Hall (and Palmieri) would have to be substantial though. The value of both players should have only gone up significantly since they were acquired.
