Just realized we're playing the Isles at Nassau next Thursday, lovely - they'll actually have a home-ice advantage on top of everything else
I really do hope Hischier breaks 65 this year, the league needs to start respecting that he is on a trajectory to be an incredible center for a long time.
I also think he has looked more explosive in his driving towards the center of the ice and driving play with Hall out.... something I said he can do very well when off of Halls line
Thought about going but nah
I think you are correct but with Hall’s stated predilection for playing with Nico I expect them to play together until July 1.
There's not another center on the team that should play with Hall this year anyway. If they actually get a legit top six C to go along with Nico at some point then you can have that conversation. But what are they supposed to do, play Zajac with him? That didn't work well his first year. Play Zacha and his limited (to this point) production?
Since Hall can drive a line by himself he will be fine with Zacha. Zacha has been playing good lately and I am sure his production will rise with Hall.
63 13 21
9 37 90
20 19 23/44
11 43 23/44
I just think spreading out the wealth is best. Hall could be the one to spark Zacha for all we know, but I think Bratt and Hischier should be a duo we keep together for a while. Let Hall get Zacha going
Any chance Talvitie can fight to make the roster next year?
Not familiar with NCAA and NHL contract rules
as soon as he signs an NHL contract he loses NCAA eligibility
I Would imagine he will probably play another year at Penn State but who knows
he does only have 16 in 17 at Penn so far so Im sure another year or two is likely
It is interesting though how the kids think about it.
Can he still participate in pre-camp developments even if he is unsigned?
those are great numbers for a freshman
NCAA guys can participate in the camps but they have to pay their own way I'm pretty sure
I don't think he is ready for the NHL at all. He should play another full season at PSU and spend some time in Bingo IMO.
legally they have to pay their own way? Or could the team offer? Just curious
Thought he was a sophomore cause hes 19, so yeah that is impressive haha
Ferland available - Id love to be all over him he fits our system perfectly IMO.
Move Johansson grab Ferland
if the team pays its considered an NCAA violation I think
It's really pathetic our season is already over at this point in the season.
Still cant grasp why the **** they would extended such a failure of a coach.
Correct. I dont even think they can send a black car.
Yeah the team can do nothing for ncaa prospects. Can't even buy them an umbrella
Anyone got Talvitie’s address?
Ill let him use my reward points and extra miles!
It's not a long drive from State College.
That will violate NCAA rules too.
Role of Boosters
Lmfao so the NCAA is telling me I cant buy Talvitie a car just because Im his friend (hypothetically speaking)???
SO lets say I won the lottery and I buy my three best friends nice things - he then cant play anymore?!
Can I buy him dinner?!?!
I dont get this at all, seems like it doesnt make sense. Or is it only because it involved transportation to an NHL-related event?
So then what would stop the university from giving money to “a friend” of all of their athletes for the purpose of that friend giving the money to their athletes? It’s a slippery slope, so they have to make it all illegal.
It’s stupid. I worked a job for most of my years at college. So did most of my friends. But, if you’re a scholarship athlete, you can’t. Because coaches, ADs and university presidents need to see their checks continue to rise.
