Good scrimmage. Sunday should be fun, will be interesting to see what lineup on Sunday is like if it's not the same.

The second half was much better hockey than the first half. The kids seemed to find their comfort level as the game went on.

Gracias for the updates. Hopefully I'll be able to actually watch a replay or something later, but as it is I heard most of the names I'd hoped to hear.

I really do hope someone made it to the scrimmage and saw it live and can give some feedback.

I wish I could watch a replay of this.

Maybe Wild.com will post a replay of the game?

It was fun to watch. Not great hockey my any means. I only mentioned the players/numbers I noticed on the ice and it was mostly o-zone stuff I payed attention too.

Biggest standouts in a good and bad way after the scrimmage?

I noticed McBain, Dewar, Belpedio, and Sokolov in good ways.

Salituro not being able to hit the net from prime locations was the biggest "bad" thing I noticed. He was very Ennis like, tries really hard does things but nothing happens.

Ladoina and Shaw didn't impress me either, they were the only players I was trying to pay attention to when they were on the ice. Just meh games from them.

For some reason they had the stream still up, but it just showed their logo graphic going 360.

McBain looks to be a one and done at BC.
Will be too good to stay there after next year, two years tops.
Khovanov wasn’t noticeable.
Johansson (sp) the first rounder had a goal but he too was not that noticeable.
Dewar was noticeable but not as much as he should be, after being invited to WJC summer team Canada Camp.
Only one skate but that’s the skinny.
Lots of room for improvement for Sunday.

I just happy people found the handful of us posting updates useful. I was guessing if this would get any interest when I made the 1st post.

I attended the Thursday session and have a few comments to share ..

I do like they way Belpedio played. He was aggressive, but smart and patient at the same time. However, I can't give him too much
credit because he is more experienced than everyone out there.

At the same time, I was highly impressed with FJ and McBain. I think will see them both in about 2 years. (hopefully when Kaprizov comes to NA)

The fun thing about these scrimmages is to watch these guys next year to see how much they improve.

A review of the scrimmage by HockeyBuzz's Dan Wallace (HockeyBuzz.com - Dan Wallace - Development Camp Observations and Suter Update):

"Wild development camp yesterday, gave us our first look at some of the Wild future in game action.

2018 first round draft pick, Filip Johansson played pretty solid, despite the adjustment he is making to the smaller NHL ice surface. His positioning was good, and he carried the puck with confidence. Yes he contributed a goal, which is not necessarily his game as advertised. His development to the North American game may show that with his natural skills and talent, he may actually be a better offensive player in the very near future.

Simon Johansson, the Wild 5th round pick, is a much more offensive defenseman to begin with, and judging from the first impression, he likes to carry the puck and also showed a great deal of confidence in that area.

The player that stood out the most to me, was 2018 Wild 3rd round pick Jack McBain who was involved in the offense nearly every single shift. He moved very well, and his offensive anticipation was definitely noticeable.

2017 Wild top draft pick (4th round) Ivan Lodnia, made a great pass to 2016 Wild fourth round pick Brandon Duhaime who ripped a one timer past Kaapo Kahkonen for arguably the nicest goal of the day during the 5 on 5 action.

Louie Belpedio showed that he had a taste of the NHL last season, as he was by far the best player on the ice for either team. He was both physical as well as dominant handling the puck and playing sound defense. Belpedio also notched a goal of his own beating Kahkonen between the legs, with a well timed wrist shot.

Dimitry Sokolov is one guy that seems to catch everyone's eyes and for good reason. Sokolov has magnificent hands and yesterday was showing that his defensive game has come a long way as well. The foot speed is still an issue though as Sokolov enters his first season of pro hockey.

Hunter Shepard was the standout as far as the Wild goalie prospects were concerned as he shut the White team out for the 1st half despite facing numerous shots and quality scoring chances. Shepard was extremely vocal in the net as you could not help but hear him directing traffic and letting his teammates know exactly what going on around them at all times. He was fully engaged the entire time he was on the ice and by his post game comments, that is how he works every game.

Again this was just prospects skating in a Summer scrimmage, but still good to see how some of the past draft choices have matured and of course the 2018 picks as well. It is nothing to hang your hat on by any stretch as these are just our own prospects competing amongst themselves, but the little things that show character points of an individual's game, come out regardless of the setting or opposition.

For those who were there, do you agree that Sokolov still has "footspeed issues"? I keep hearing mixed opinions on that. Understand that he isn't the next Jason Zucker, but is he slower than Anders Lee, or Nino?
