Nice job.

Are those lineups speculation or confirmed? Saturday Armia and Lehkonen were switched up.

Still early for question, but does Kotkaniemi stay up past his 9 games?

Should he? After barely playing in the third period against the pens at what point is it “current game win” trumping future or vise versa
i would send him down either to Laval or the land of the Finns.

Hopefully tonight we celebrate Tomas Plekanec's 100th and last game as a Hab. Peca doesn't deserve to be on the press-box.
Isn't that kind of dangerous? Being on the press box. Someone should tell him to walk away from the edge and get in the press box. We don't want any daredevils.

I think the odds are more in favor of the Wings winning their first gae than Kotkaniemi scoring his first goal.

I'm willing to bet a friendly $20 on it. Are you?

Deals of the Bet:
- Habs win and Kotkaniemi scores his 1st: I win
- Habs win and Kotkaniemi don't score: Nobody wins
- Wings win but Kotkaniemi scores: We both win so call it a wash
- Wings win and Kotkaniemi don't score: You win

Deal? I'm at work wasting time on HF boards so I'll have to work some OT tonight to make up the loss time. I got the money! haha

Man, that is one ugly font in the GDT. Nothing against you, @donghabs98. It looks authentic, and the font you chose is great, but it just is ugly

Looking forward to the game. It's nice to say that.

Wifey comes out of the bedroom wearing a gown.

Wifey: Hon, how do I look?
Tricolore: You look great but you're ugly.

Montreal police arrested wifey as she threw Tricolore's gentials off The Jacques Cartier bridge. It took 12 squad cars to subdue the enraged woman.

I wouldn't read too much into his usage last game.

In his three first games, he played over 14 minutes.

Don't forget so far, he's gone up against Crosby/Malkin/Brassard twice, Matthews/Tavares/Kadri once, and Kopitar/Carter once. And on Wednesday, it'll be Schenn/ROR/Bozak. That's really tough match-ups to start his career. So it's only normal he's sheltered a bit.

Also to keep in mind, he's being used exclusively at center and not placed on the wing to start him slowly.

They decided to keep Chucky up after his 9 games and Kotka is twice the player AG is, so yeah, I'd keep him up.

If we don't win this game, it'll be last year all over again. I have faith we'll crush them.

Hasn't Reilly-Juulsen been the first pair (at least by TOI and usage)?

Galchenyuk went 1-6-7 in his first 9 games with some truly excellent on-ice numbers. People seriously forget about how Galchenyuk looked when he started out.

Tonight is going to be the big show for him, Detroit's centers are one of the worst pool in the league, and defensively they are terrible. Kotka > Larkin > Antha > Nielsen ( just hope he faces Larkin with his 17% faceoff wins... haha)

and in typical fashion...the Habs are ensuring the lowest possible return on a potential trade by making him a healthy scratch.

I liked Peca in the preseason but how does he have a spot over our drafted players?

It would be nice to see if this treatment has lighted a spark in Scherbak, give the kid a chance already..

The way he performed during training camp he should be playing in Laval right now, it's not one or 2 good games by him that will change is value, other teams scouts saw the same thing we saw since the start of his professionnal career, it will take a team that is ready to take a chance on him and i dont think we gone get much....more likely a kid like him that we gonna be ready to take a chance on or a 5 round draft pick

I remember very well, his numbers is why they kept him with the big club, I'm just saying, KK is showing me a lot more skill and awareness than Chucky ever did when he was a rookie.

more skill and awareness =/= twice the player. And I'm not sure Kotkaniemi is showing more skill either.

Galchenyuk was one of the better rookies his first year. If not for Gallagher he was probably a Calder finalist. Kotkaniemi has been really good, but comparing him to Galchenyuk in their first 9 games doesn't do Kotkaniemi any favours. He hasn't done what Galchenyuk did.
