Updates...

Turgeon's Winterhawks lost 4th straight game last night and were elimiated in round 1. He missed their last two games and will have shoulder surgery, so probably fair to say he won't join GR this season.

Hicketts is also out, "day-to-day" leg injury which happened in game 1. They are up 3-1.

Svechnikov's CAP tied at 2 vs CHI, goal and 4 assists so far. Highlights from last night (0+2): https://youtu.be/nGuW2KiMFlQ

Marsh's SNB up 3-1 but he has missed all games also due to injury...

Holmström and Ehn begin SHL semi-finals Friday & Saturday. They could potentially face each other in the finals.

Sad to see Turgeon's season end early, wanted to see him in GR, always liked him as a propsect.

Hopefully he gets healthy and gets a nice role in GR next year.

He's not ready defensively...he needs another year wether it's on Flint....the USHL...somewhere

Well then ECHL might work. Faces pros, they are going to be a lot bigger than the OHL guys for the most part, and he's skilled enough to be a positive player, while playing with pros on his own team.

Either that or loan him out in Europe.

I think he is pretty comparable to another small Finn, Julius Honka, who has done quite nicely in the AHL. I don't see any reason why he couldn't play reliably in the AHL even now. Obviously he needs to gain strength before he's ready for NHL.

Svech was great in round 1 of the Q playoffs with 10 points in 6 games, 2G+8A including 1+2 tonight to push the Eagles on to round 2. Also notable that he realistically could have had a few more goals (only shooting 8% as they were against one of the Q's best goalies, if not the best).

Also only one minor penalty the whole series, great stretch for him, hoping he, Lazarev and Dubois stay hot together for a long run.

Playing as a winger right now as well.

Awesome, glad to see him producing so much, especially during a high pressure series.

Good, love the passion he plays with but he's gotta be able to control it.

Joe Hicketts' Victoria Royals will face-off against the Kelowna Rockets in the second round in the WHL playoffs. Chartier, Merkley and Johansen (Ryan's brother) are some notable players on Kelowna's roster. Hicketts is currently injured, but the injury is a secret it seems.

Turgeon's Hawks were eliminated in a four game sweep by Everett. Turgeon played only two games due to an injury.

In the Q, Marsh's St John Sea Dogs will face off against Svechnikov's Screaming Eagles.

I'm not as versed in the OHL, other than Saarijarvi whose team didn't make the playoffs, is someone still playing?

There's a bit of mystery surrounding Marsh on the Sea Dogs... allegedly he suffered his 3rd concussion on the year during some kind of off ice incident, and he is back home in Chicago. Along with that "he has had some off ice personal issues nothing that involves his teammates" (quoting a sea dogs fan on another board) and the fan also said he would be surprised to see Marsh play for the Sea Dogs again.

Taking away the 3rd overall pick really seems like a move designed to try and make the team fail. Easiest way to get the team relocated is force it to be horrible and lose the fans.

Not sure that matters that much as I’ve read the 3rd pick likely wouldn’t report to Flint anyways.

They want the owner to sell..they want the team to stay in Flint under new ownership
