They pay him, and he plays for them. What are the terms
Contracts run as normal. How do new contracts work? Do they still count down throughout missed seasons and the players just don't get paid?

Bad news for any teams with RFAs this off-season IMO. Good contract for Fabbri and the Wings have cap space, but only 2 years at that price is kinda underwhelming.
it's 2 years... that wont affect DET what so ever. After his 2 years if he can prove that he deserves better, he'll get itThat seems like quite a high increase during the flat cap for a decent not even full season
I always wonder how deals like this happen.
"My client will accept $3M a year for two years"
"Not a chance, we're not even in the same ballpark. Best we can do is $2.95M."
I was way off on this one. I figured they'd ask him to prove he'd stay healthy, then give him this kind of deal.
That's a yikes from me.
No question. Detroit's in great shape cap wise. Kind of sets a bad precedent for future RFAs though. Fabbri didn't do much to earn a decent payday.Meh, two years is a short risk and we have more than enough cap space
