Good luck w Regula. Hes a career best 4-7th dman on a good team, wont amount to much. Yzerman took a chance on a former 1st rd draft pic for him. Remember, Yzerman is better than Stan in every category (minus the cup tallon won him) and won this trade. Perlini will stay with DRW, under a new coach, could find spark in a top 9 role, not in a role where Blashill buires talent for grinders. #babcockstyle

Wow save some salt for people to put on their dinner...

I feel like some Red Wings fan is going to club Regula's knee Nancy Kerrigan style so their Messiazerman doesn't look bad.

back? When was he ever played in a European league?

he just needs a chance to play. He has shown some great offensive spurts but never keeps the coaches confidence long enough to sustain any results.
Just needs a chance to play? He’s played in almost 250 nhl games and last season rode shotgun on Chicago’s most productive line for awhile and didn’t do anything.

There’s a reason he doesn’t keep coaches confidence long. When he isn’t scoring he’s useless and he really only seems to score in little spurts. Far too many games Perlini is a passenger on the ice.

How so? Be. More. Specific.
Can’t wait for this.
Ok, since you asked.

You start off with saying Regula is at best a 4-7th defensemen, which even if it is accurate still means we came away ahead in the trade, as Perlini is nothing and will most likely continue to be nothing.

You then feel the need to remind people that Yzerman is better than Stan in every category, which is completely irrelevant. No one is saying Stan is a better GM than Yzerman based off of one trade anyways. You lie about the cup part, Bowman has won 3 cups as GM and two of them were largely due to him revamping the supporting cast after the 2010 fallout from the salary cap.

You claim Yzerman won the trade which he didn't, then go on a little tirade about how Perlini could be something under a new coach, which isnt totally impossible but looks very improbable at this point.

Since you're wrong or almost wrong about practically everything in this, and half of it being irrelevant with you trying to prove some point about how Yzerman is a better GM than Bowman even though no one was claiming otherwise, you showed you were insecure about that in particular.

I mean, even by his own proclamation, if regula winds up being a #4 dman, isn't this a laughably massive coup for Chicago? Perlini is having a dreadful year and they didn't even play him against the team that traded him away last night. If there ever was a motivator game on the calendar, that was it. And blashill still healthy scratched him

Would be awesome if regula somehow developed into a top pair dman, but almost nobody following the Blackhawks expects or is banking on that

Perlini is like a 13th-14th forward at this point
