#NYR Play-off stats: Derick Brassard is now tied for 10th all-time with Brad Park and Adam Graves in play-off points as a Ranger with 44.

Side-note:
Adam Graves played on a better team
Adam Graves was a winger
Adam Graves played in an era with more scoring

Yet it took Brassard 56 games to get 44 points, while Adam Graves needed 68

Hoping this guy is never traded.

One of the few players who ALWAYS steps it up in the playoffs. Hope to see a letter on his chest sooner than later (No not the RANGERS letters :p:) Guy has always been a leader with his on ice play for this team.

Leads all players in the East in play-off points since 2012 (And he wasn't even here for that play-off run in 2012, he came over a year later).

But he needs Nash dont you know hahahahahaha

Brassard has been better than Nash all season. Only the Cult of Nashers still think Nash is the best forward on this team. Zuccarello is better than him as well and Stepan and Miller are, at worse, equal to Nash now.

"BUT OMGZ CORSI BRO." Stop it. The guy is a muffintop.

If Nash had half the cojones that Brassard has we'd have a first class ticket to the finals right now.

No doubt about it. 2014 we probably win the cup if he scores the kind of goals brass does. Look at that skill he displayed on the second goal staying onside, controlling the puck and burying it. It wasnt 4-0. It wasnt 5-2. It was 1-1. A huge ****ing goal. Those are the goals this team needs

Still can't wrap my head around why anyone would want to move this guy (a lot of talk in roster building thread). Playoff performers are not a dime a dozen, we need to stockpile guys like this.

Another trade where Sather fleeced someone. Gaborik isn't even on CBJ anymore and is rather just a shell of his former self. Brassard is a ~60 point player and a playoff monster. I can't even imagine how we'd get by without him.

It's funny, people don't immediately look at him and tremble, but his playoff performance-- as evidenced by the above statistic citing points since 2012-- is elite. Literally the best of the best in terms of points. Perhaps if you break it down to points per game this may not be so, because this team's played many 7 game series, but regardless that stat is nothin to scoff at.

Brassard is one of those guys that gets even better in the playoffs. It's like every year his game goes up a notch. He's our Justin Williams. There's not that many guys that do that. Kreider is kind of another one--just not quite as much. McDonagh as well. And maybe Miller's going to be that way. When you have guys like that you become a really difficult team to take out.

For THIS team to go deep, Brass, Miller, & Zooks have to be their best and we should rely on Nash for little or nothing. He can PK and shoot at the goalie's chest. Whatever. He's not the answer in the post season.

He's a beast in the playoffs. Don't know what else he has to do to prove that? We got on him for having a lackluster game 1 and what does he do in game 2?! We all saw it. That second goal was a beauty. If you look at him not a big guy either but he's very far from soft .

Is that true? Guys actually wanna move him? And to think so many want to keep his 7.8 million dollar linemate. I must be missing something these last 4 playoff seasons.

He sure looks to be that way. Small sample size however.

LA = corsi beast of 2015-16 and they're down 2-0 after losing twice at home.

The Sharks are beating LA at their own game right now. LA will get it together, but I think the Sharks beat them. LA needs an overhaul, they got zero help at the deadline this season and the team looks tired

I couldn't believe how much crying there was about an inconsistent Gaborik being traded, even when Brassard was our best forward in the 2013 playoffs. Gaborik with us was Nash without the defense and physical game. Good every other season, meh in the playoffs, invisible when he was bad.

Nash had his worst possession season in years

If the argument is Gaborik vs Nash, Gaborik scored as many goals in the playoffs for us as Nash with (quite literally) one shoulder.

He had 14 in 26 games in 13-14. Also scored two or three in the Cup final against us. Nash? Take a guess. The difference is like night and day.
