He was great in 2011 and even better in the 2012 loss to the Caps. Good luck to him. Wish we saved more on the Cap next summer with this. But it was the right move.

Bittersweet is the way to put it for sure. He's clearly done here, and this was a necessary move.

He was an absolute horse for us from when he got here to his knee injury... and we don't come close to the Cup in 2011 without his huge contributions. Thank you Seids and all the best to you!

Happy to have that spot opened up for another player but a bit disappointed there's not another option other than having a cap cost over 4 years. Hopefully they are actually going to use that space the next couple years.

As for Sides, he was a warrior for this team. Sad that injuries derailed him. At the time, I thought that contract would be phenomenal for us. Was a great player for this team.
