Tough as nails. Lidstrom has cited him as an important figure in understanding how NHL hockey was played at the time.

I remember when the Bruins had him and Borque, both rookies I believe, still have the Hockey World/Pictorial issue where they shared the cover. He went to alot of teams though?

oh ye hockey gods, back in 2009, when atlanta passed over mccrimmon for the head coaching job to hire john anderson, why couldn't the canucks have fired vigneault after the chicago meltdown and hired him like i was asking you guys for? i made some effigies, sacrificed a couple of farm animals, and nothing.

i still say that if mccrimmon had been our coach, edler would have at least one top five norris finish to his name. that guy knew how to turn raw talent into superstardom.
