Allen, JDLR, Bozie, Faulk...all in the doghouse.

As far as I know, only DP57 from our top 6 is really coming to play and is effective night after night. Yet, we bash the guys further down in the line up or our backup goalie.

Jake's previous game was good too. We lost, but it wasn't on him.

Faulk and Bozak combine for 11.5m dollars. They rightfully belong in the doghouse. DLR, he's as expected. Schenn has been fine, Orielly hasnt looked great but I wouldn't say he's been bad. I dont feel like bashing Schwartz as some will get bent out of shape(dude has been declining and if it wasnt for his round 1 heroics, people would be ready to move on). Sanford was flogged and crucified already, Thomas has been excellent and bad at times.


We see the coaching staff continually doubling the f*** down on defensive forwards. Yes defense is important but if they dont score....they dont do much good if you're hurting for goals.


Look what Nashville did, instead of throwing their lines in a blender after VA went down. They plopped Carr in his spot. Blues break up one of the best 4th lines in hockey, and send Kostin back down in favor of Brouwer

Jake stole a point. Good to see him play well. He’s been solid all year.

He definitely hasnt been solid all year, and was actually quite terrible his first couple starts, but he has been turning it around his last few games

Indeed. I still think the Central will finish with Colorado - Nashville - Blues. It would be a heck of a first round match up.

They’ve been starting to control possession regularly, and had been getting garbage goaltending. They look ready to ride Saros now. We’ve been consistently getting outchanced but have been winning on stellar goaltending.

The team is tired, and all that, from our deep run, but agree that this was a big couple of games for Nashville, and they did the job. We are going to have our hands full with this division, and if we ever have a goaltending slump, we are going to be hosed with the way we are playing right now.

Problem is we have 3 key pieces out Vladdy, steen and Blais. Players are out of there normal slots other than DP, ROR, Schenn and Schwartz those are the only healthy top 6 players most of the rest are 4 liners or better of not in the line up.

Good God, do the Blues suck at shootouts. That was embarrassing at the end with Thomas and Schenn basically just coughing up their chances. Pretty deflating way to end the game.

A few quick takeaways: Allen was great and deserves a bit more slack from Blues fans, Sanford can't hit the broad side of a barn with his shot, and Bozak's starting to remind me of Lehtera with his finishing ability. Yes, I know that is a bit harsh but I call em like I see em.

We are bad enough at SOs, but that mishandling if the puck by two players in a row CAN'T happen. Embarrassing.

I found it interesting that Bozak wasn’t one of the 4 shooters, when he used to be considered a shootout specialist. He’s been a hair away from scoring on grade A chances several times the last few games. I thought maybe the shootout would give him confidence. I wonder what Berube was thinking with his selections.

Look, NSH yokels get all uppity playing us, but that's expected. They played over their level the last two games, and frankly without a ton of luck in the first game, would have been shut out. So let's not get crazy because of this. We had a very real chance minus a couple bounces of taking both games ourselves. The comeback last night was solid, and Jake did his thing.

I would be so embarrassed to be a Preds fan. Their "you suck" chants are in such poor taste. Just the worst imaginable sportsmanship imaginable. Imagine trying to explain that to your kid. It's just an embarrassment and they need to make it stop. I feel embarrassed for them every time it starts.

Blues are absolutely killing it with the loser-points this year. Unfortunately, losing in OT is not a skill that you want to excel at when entering the playoffs. Fortunately the Blues are a better 5-0n-5 team than they are at a shootout or playing short-handed.
