Probably something like....Hughes, Nurse, Weeger, Klingberg, Pelech, Spurgeon
Add Muzzin, Severson and Rasmus Andersson

And people here are voting for Morgan Rielly and Devon Toews over Spurgeon.

Wait what? So you use WAR as your argument to use a laughing emoji despite the fact that using WAR Devon Toews was a top 5 defenseman last year and made Spurgeon look like an AHL’er?

Pick your battles better. Spurgeon is a good defenseman. Probably better than both you listed. But you should probably understand who and what you’re “laughing” about.

So what are you going on about?

Toews managed to put up great numbers in a covid season playing the worst division in the history of the NHL probably. Good on him. I wonder what would happen if the two of them traded places..

Spurgeon had a down year for sure. Based on his previous consistency on the Wild I still believe he would've thrived on a stacked team like the Avs and would then be voted a lot higher on this list.
