Hi - thanks for your interest in the World Hockey League!
We're an 18-team points league in our 13th season. One of our owners had to step down, and I'm looking for a replacement owner to jump in and finish the year strong. Think of it as a trial run to see if you like the league before committing to next season. Please note, we are a premium Fantrax league with some associated costs, but you would not need to pay anything for this season.
The ideal candidate has some fantasy hockey experience, would enjoy a very detailed league, and would bring a patient, long-haul approach to running their team. The available squad is in the basement, but also has all of its draft picks, plus several players who will be in high demand leading up to our trade deadline on March 1st.

Here's the rundown:
- We're a keeper league, but instead of picking players to keep you get to sign players to contracts for 1-4 years at a time, where costs are determined by a custom formula based on past and present performance.
- Player costs fluctuate every day, and part of the strategy is signing them before they get too expensive.
- Scoring is point-based and includes some secondary stat categories like hits and blocks.
- 30-man rosters: 4C, 4LW, 4RW, 6D, 2G, 1 Util, 4 Bench, 5 Minor League, up to 5 IR. Total league pool is around 540 players.
- Hybrid season format: Total points regular season, head-to-head playoffs tracked through Google docs using the same scoring format.
