MTL is all over this, big physical bodies will never be in our nature, we just want speed and fast transition

I offer:

Armia + Drouin for TheCat

No way. That's far too much for Debrincat. You get Patrick Kane for that.....

I'M curious on what kind of return you think you can get for a 5'6" Dabrincat.

what would you ask from MTL ( even from our core) just go free-roam and ask us what you think is deserved.

I mean Debrincat would immediately become the best player on your team. He put up 41 goals and 76 points as a 21 year old. If I had to guess it's going to be a 1st plus an A tier prospect from Montreal.

Then again, I don't really see Chicago trading him. They were only 6 points out of the playoffs. If they had a better start to the season, they would have made it. Trading Debrincat basically waves the white flag on 2019-20.

Man as a habs fan you should know better than to bring up a players' height, or lack there of. We're a team with Brendan Gallagher (two time 30 goal scorer, you might've heard of him) and he's a guy that other teams fans still call a fluke and nothing more than a depth guy. I think we are the last fanbase that can make a claim against a guy for his height. We had our chance to get debrincat but lost it when we traded his draft pick for shaw. Chicago has a good piece for a long time with him.

Physical, two-way forwards you say? Lucic is your man. We wouldn't even need Debrincat back, just take him.

this is a false narrative about debrincat just because his stature.

Debrincat is pretty fearless and he goes to the dirty areas and hangs out in the slot as much as anyone, which is what makes him such a pure goal scorer

just because he isnt out there throwing his body around doesnt mean he will disappear in the playoffs, Debrincat makes his money in the high danger areas, not the perimeter

Not for sale, would require a massive overpayment. Nobody trades a 21 year old with that kind of production. Untouchable.

I don't understand why Chicago would trade him. Is the OP saying trade him to get a physical style player? There is no way in my opinion a team trades a 40 goal scorer which is very rare for a physical type player which you can get for another lesser valued player. As for the stature of the player ask Nashville about the stature of one Viktor Arvidsson and the production he puts up for them.

im basing this on people thinking he can get up to 8m... i just think thats a little too much... i agree with you that hes fearless but if we were able to get a solid good D man and a power foward. you wouldn't make that move?

40 goal scorers don't grow on trees. He may hit 50 in his peak. Any return is likely a downgrade

Underrated playmaker too. Sees the ice extremely well, not just a one dimensional shooter
