Looks like I just had a friend that was broken up with last night.

The avalanche of "I need your prayers to get through this" and "this is one of the most terrible things to happen to me" last night and the morning is a little much.....dude, look at the bright side - you don't have to spend money on her tomorrow!! ;)

Okay, who am I kidding, that's pretty ****** by the girl to dump him now.

"I need your prayers?"

Cease your friendship with this caricature of a man.

Tell him to ring up her best friend for Valentine's Day.

I remembered to take my daughter to daycare today.

(yes, it's still wigging me out)

Since becoming a father, I have issues with those sort of articles and news topics. I skipped the Tom Hanks movie about the father dying during 9/11 for similar reasons. It's a self-censorship thing -- I know it's going on, I find it tragic and heartbreaking and would rather not subject myself to those sort of emotions based on projection of myself into those same situations.

Could be worse. Imagine if she did it after V-Day. "Thanks for spending all this money on me, now get lost."

My surprise delivery for V-Day is less of a surprise now. She mentioned yesterday that she was going to be offsite almost all day, so I had to spill the beans that I was having something delivered. Offered to reschedule it, but she's making accommodations to make sure someone else in her office can receive it if she's not there, and she's going to stop back at her office even if she doesn't need to to get it. And I didn't even have to give up what it was. :)

So, I think that worked out quite well. I can't give her her card until Friday, but that seemed to be OK too.

In college I had a relationship that we both knew was over, but I took her out and gave her flowers anyways. She dumped me a week later, at least it wasnt the next day.

And yes, Chain had a great rant

All of this. And throw slasher/graphic horror movies into the mix as well. Very little stomach for that **** since the kiddies came along.

And when your daughter (mine) reaches dating age, you can eliminate all sorts of other movies as well!

The remake of "The Hills Have Eyes."

A wide array of pornographical content.

Ha.

If she becomes an athlete, do you have to eliminate sports movies since it'll remind you she can get injured?

"Ladybugs."
