DeAngelo and Chychrun have been two or our three best defensemen this season. Good thing we healthy scratch the hat out of them and then bust them down to the minors. Good thinking coaches.

Our team is a joke. The roadrunners have been struggling lately so I like them sending some help down there. Deangelo stepped up fine when there was an injury and will be back up when there is another one.

It's really hard to be a fan of this team right now

I get it that AHL recalls are easy, but is it the objective to never have a healthy scratch in the NHL? Why the **** is the roster being managed this way?

There has to be a trade. We have 21 players on the NHL roster right now.

Leads the D in plus minus despite playing nearly 20 mins a night, scoring points, key to transition game, made Gogo start to look respectable... BETTER SEND HIM DOWN.

7 points in 11 games and gets demoted?

Just sell and relocate the ****ing team already.

Don't even go there. There's enough of that on the Canadian boards every time we upset one of the "good boys" teams.

This might be to make some roster space to bring up Perlini and a couple other Tucson players, and then put KConn or Schenn on waivers. I would hope that DeAngelo is up after missing only one game.

Holy what the heck? Must have been their fault all those shots last night.

Who could have predicted this?

Well, he (Chychrun) didn't impress anyone with his last performance in the pressbox... this isn't a development league, you know.
Just wait. We'll leash DeAngelo soon, too, and then bench/demote him because he made a couple of mistakes. It happens with all our skill players. Punish their mistakes, make them lose confidence, conform them into the hockey the hard way mould and be surprised that they don't look good when playing that low-risk, low-reward game. It's why our young guys typically look less dynamic and more tentative the longer they play under this staff. Can't make a mistake. Have to overthink. Don't want to end up stapled to the bench or watching from the rafters.

Useful players who need to stay in order to meet expansion draft exposure requirements. They both have 2-year deals for exactly that reason.

Apart from the OT giveaway last night, he hasn't really made any glaring mistakes. He has been much better in his own zone than advertised. Physical as well. Just like Chychrun, it's hard to be more pleased with so much early promise, but Tippett finds a way to punish them. Without fail.

For all the grief we get about scapegoating Tipp, it seems he's more than fine with the tactic.
