I never cared for Starsky and Hutch in syndication so only really remember him for Salem's Lot and a few episodes of anthology shows (One episode of The Hitchhiker and one episode of New Alfred Hitchcock Presents)

Yeah.. I wasn't a fan of S & H either.. my favorite (acting) memory of Soul was probably his role as one of the vigilante cops from Magnum Force.
Sorry to hear about his death, he had an admirable career.
