Player Discussion: David Savard

Savard figured some of out during the playoffs. But he's TOO SLOW for our team. We need fast moving, fast thinking defenseman players who can pass accurately on the move and shoot during rushes. Savard had a few good plays, but in reality, this is a bad signing for the Habs because they are in deep trouble without Weber. Savard will look like Sustr versus our speed at forward.

Goodrow and Coleman didn’t need 3-4 months to put it together.

Is it really so hard to admit Savard sucked at the beginning but put it together the last two rounds? Or do you need to push the narrative of your prescience that could see several months into the future that he’d do well?

Who cares if he sucked the first two months. I knew he would get better (and he did) Y'all never gave him any respect for what he did this post season.

He was a great player for us. It was a great trade. What's your issue???

He was a good 2 month rental. Totally agree. For an entire season like the Habs are paying for? Hard pass. He's too slow.

He should be good for a year or two MAX and then go to shit.

His AAV is pretty decent tho
