I remember suggesting the Wings give Booth a shot after his buyout in 2014 to see if he could click with his old Panthers line mate Stephen Weiss...

This is most likely just insurance to meet the "veteran minimum" for pre-season games.

Booth is a Veteran, and would be the 7th veteran in GR. That's one over max. However, I could see Street being the 13th forward in Detroit which would open up a Veteran spot in GR.

Ha, I wasn't being serious. Vanek is apparently waiting for us to make a move it sounds. He has a "few" offers but we are reportedly in the mix. I don't see how it works now. Who gets traded? Sheahan has to be pushed out right?
