With his creativity and passing ability down low, Tkachuk should be a staple on the 1st PP unit. I’d argue he’s our best passer.

How much higher in the standings could we be with a competent power play?

Cameron needs firing

Another game where we can't score a goal on the powerplay.

This is getting beyond tiresome.

Too bad Treliving most likely won't do anything.
This horrendous powerplay might actually cost the Flames a playoff spot.

How this guy got employed in the first place is a complete mystery. He ran the Sens powerplay into the dirt, so we go out and hire him to run ours? That makes total sense........

My vote is for fire... you've got Gelinas in the press box who could fill in in the meantime. If this team doesn't make a change, I fear we will not make the playoffs.

Realistically, we don't need to fire Cameron. Teams with specific problems they want to solve bring in specialist consultants all the time. We could just create a temporary PP-consultant role, have a guy come and work on it for a few weeks, then have Cameron coach that system from there on.

And what happens if it goes stale again. This coaching staff has proven they have a hard time adapting to change, and as teams figure out the system they figure out how to stop the PP. So what just hire another consultant when that happens?

Sure, I don't care. I'm just saying, if the sticking point is that they don't want to make a firing in mid-season, there are other options available to them.

I feel at this point that is just giving the team an excuse to keep him in the mix. With Gelinas in the mix they could let him go and still keep stride. If they don't get the PP going they aren't getting past the first round, even if they make the playoffs.

Don't the Flames still have Gelinas on as an assistant coach, why not let him try running the pp instead of Cameron? It's not like it can get much worse.

I really hope posters aren't unaware Dave Cameron is just the agreed upon flavor of the season. Jordan Sigalet was the flavor of seasons prior.

Our power play is worse than Arizona's. There is plenty of reason to let him go.
