The man was just what we need at exactly the right time we needed it. He will forever be a Kings legend and a hell of a human being. I hope he has a long and fulfilling retirement.

It's too bad that his time in LA ended as it did, by being fired by the club that he won two Cups with. He could've walked away a few years ago instead of signing that last extension. I guess that it's a credit to him, though, that he didn't want to walk away from the team.

I think if he was to come back, it'd be as a GM or something like that capacity. Edmonton should seriously just hire the guy as an adviser, that team could use as many decent hockey minds as they can.

Unfortunately he stuck around too long in LA making himself the villain to fans and players. Fans and players all wanted him gone after the 2016 season but his pride got in the way and he stuck around. Will forever go down as a legend in Kings history though.

Had a good run for sure. He's 60 in August so noone will fault him for retiring. One of the 20-25 best coaches for all time IMO.

Good on him,he has made his fortune and basked in fame..Now he gets to sit back and enjoy the simpler things in a comfortable life these things have provided for him...
