Nice, though I don't know if that's good or bad exposure for wrestling.

Just a heads up that TSN has tinkered with the schedule I posted earlier. All of the airings of the Brody and Von Erich episodes originally scheduled for this Thursday ( July 9th ) and Saturday ( July 11th ) have been pulled and have yet to be rescheduled. Everything else I posted appears to be unchanged.

Ah screw it - I give up. TSN changed around the scheduled airings of Dark Side of the Ring again. If you want to watch these shows just keep an eye on the listings.

So Evan Husney(creator/producer) was on local radio yesterday.

Well worth the listen. I missed the first part, but will probably download the podcast for the drive home. Jason Gregor show is the name of the podcast.

Anyway, he did confirm a season 3. He also confirmed that one of the episodes will probably be based on Collision in Korea. Largest wrestling event ever. The only issue he said is Covid. Both he and Vice want a season 3, but they are just trying to figure out how to do it.

The other really interesting tidbit for me was the David Schultz episode. Evan mentioned that it was Schultz that was reaching out to them to do an episode, as he wanted to tell his story. I'm actually curious if maybe they see more of this. Guys that want to clear the air.

Interesting. For years, Schultz didn't want to talk about it. Wonder else who people think might be good 'clear the air' candidates.

That might be a tall order even without COVID.

Eric Bischoff did an interview with NK News (A website dedicated to North Korean issues) and stated that the footage of the event is still held by the Japanese. NatGeo wanted to do a documentary on the event but were unable to due to the inability to get the footage from the event.

That's kind of weird when Bischoff's podcast uploaded the second day of the event and cited WWE as owning the rights. Bischoff is pretty loose when it comes to accuracy but maybe New Japan owns some behind the scenes footage or alternate footage or something.

How much footage do you actually need from the event itself?

A lot of those wrestlers are not in WWE or New Japan. I do think that Cena would have a chance to get over in a place like that though. I'd also like to see The Briscoes vs The Revival.

Familiar with all of them except Sgt Slaughter.

EDIT: Is it the kayfabe military service claim? Thought it was common knowledge he didn't serve. That. or something else?

I'd more like to know what it was like to play that angle

I saw on the Dark Side of the Ring's Instagram that they were hoping to line something up with Kamala.

From the brief biography I watched on youtube they mentioned he was screwed over via money a lot in the WWF. Headliner making nothing.

In 2001-2002, Kamala was a guest on Live Audio Wrestling and said that for his match vs. Undertaker at Summerslam 1992, he was paid $13000, while Taker was paid $500000. I sent in a question for him by e-mail on this show that he answered, which is why I remember this.

I think that's what I read.

I feel like it was the Ultimate Warrior that was pushing him to make sure he was making his money. Which isn't overly surprising to be honest

Son of a... I thought he served. He has mentioned it in quite a few interviews. Damn it, he actually got me.

Turns out he's also caught quite a bit of criticism for stretching not telling the truth about his service.
The man behind pro wrestling legend Sgt. Slaughter tells stories of combat tours in Vietnam. But he never served
