As someone who has both Boston and mini pack for Providence he’s right there with Brandon Carlo as the nicest players we’ve met with the newbies.

On the ice - plus hockey sense and stick. Positionally outstanding. Able to play up and down the lineup.

Playing great with Coyle too. They could both hit 50 points this year.

New Heinen Story:

So it was last night. I had just gotten home from the bar. I was a little buzzed, I won't lie to you. When I walked up the front steps, I had this strange and cold feeling come over me. Like I wasn't alone.... I shrugged it off, thinking it was jut some drunken anxiety. I reached into my pocket to grab my keys. I put my hand on the knob, noticing it was already unlocked. "Huh...That's weird," I said (actual quote). I was sure I locked it before I left. I always did. That feeling immediately came back, and I rushed into the house. It was exactly like I left it. I walked towards the kitchen and heard water running in the bathroom. It was a heavy flow, not that drip drip drip -- leaky faucet stuff. I got to the bathroom door, thinking someone was in my house. I opened the door swiftly, and found that my sink was on, running. "f***, I must have left that one before leaving." (Another actual quote). I walked in, relieved there wasn't some stranger in my house washing their hands or whatever, and turned it off. I yawned, kicking my shoes off in the hallway, as I made my way upstairs to bed.

I reached the stairs and began heading up. About halfway, I heard a crunch. It was loud, I thought I stepped on something, but looked down to find nothing underneath my foot. "You're hearing shit" (Another actual quote). I continued up, hearing another crunch, noticeable coming from my room. My door was shut. I thought that it must have just been the cat getting into something. Poor little guy, I locked him in the room the whole night. I got to the door, opening it. "Mr Jing....." I paused and stood there like a ghost. I looked in utter dismay as Danton Heinen was laying on my bed with Xbox controller in hand. His shirt, fingers and my controller were covered with the orange residue of Cheetos. There were crumbs on the side of him as well. He didn't even react to my presence. He just continued staring at the TV. I too looked over at it, to find he was uninstalling all my games. He finally acknowledged my presence. "You're out of Cheetos...."

He got up, smirked at me, and left...Just like that. Instead of calling the police, I cleaned his mess up and went to bed. I figured he had a game coming up and I didn't want to make things difficult.

I know some would be happy, but Heinen could be a prime expansion draft target. If he gets to a 50pt winger, it'll be hard for a team to pass that up.

now that`s funny, well done

love Heinen with Coyle, there were 2 shifts last night , one in the 2nd then the other in the 3rd where that line just dominated, puck possession was terrific and the Knights couldn`t get anything out of the zone. Didn`t result in a goal or anything but Heinen and Coyle and I "think" Kuhlman in 3rd period but don`t quote me on that please just hemmed the Knights up big time.

Saw something from Heinen I`m not so sure I`ve seen from him before as well, he was just below the goal line and made a power move, took that puck right to the front of the net and tried to stuff one home from in tight, not sure we have seen him try that before.

I think he's playing with much more confidence than he did last year. On that goal he scored the other night he just fired that puck right in the net and as you say that move last night well that was something we wouldn't have seen last season.

He & Coyle are just magic on that third line. I like them together because I can watch my two favorite Bruins at the same time

Coyle has quickly become one of my fav`s too. Not getting to watch much of him other than his games vs the B`s where I barely noticed him, had no idea what he would be capable of if in the right situation. It seems like the message to Heinen was/is clear, shoot more, shoot quicker and be more assertive around the net such as that very strong play on the attempted jam in on the crease drive. Nice to see

Same- Grz, Danton, and Charlie Coyle are probably my top 3 favorite players. Heinen looks like a different guy out there. He is playing stronger, and as you all have said, more assertively on offense. If he sustains it, I don't see how he doesn't get 50 points, especially with 2nd unit PP time.

You know, it's funny. In the past, he's passed the advanced stats test, but not the eye test for many fans. Now, he's passing the eye test, but the advanced stats are struggling. There's a reason why you need to use both, and you hope that the advanced stats support the eye test, and vice versa.

I think 3 games in, 37 minutes of even strength TOI, is too small of a sample size to really prove anything.

I agree, just pointing it out because so many people point to that stuff for say Ritchie, but Danton's are bad....which to me doesn't matter because Heinen has clearly been one of our top forwards so far.

I believe the third line got seriously out shot in the 2nd game of the season against Arizona which negatively impacted their Corsi numbers.
