I like that Sprong has shown a little more jump and physicality as well. Probably confidence related and rightfully so.

If they need a center replacement I could see Raffl over Sprong but otherwise there should be no way that Raffl gets a jersey over Sprong in the playoffs.

I was ripping on Sprong’s defensive game earlier but he has been much better recently. He will add a scoring threat to the third line (hopefully if everyone is healthy) instead of just hoping to tread water.

I would think that if they needed a replacement for any forward that would put Sprong and Raffl in

Neither. He’s under contract one more year.

Nice find for you guys. Got a raw deal here with Sully and Recchi. Looks a lot better defensively. Scratching him for Raffl seems ludicrous to me.

If we’re healthy, it’s situational to me. Raffl’s going to be the physical and defensive guy if that’s what we need. Sprong scores goals, including by going to the net a lot. Either way works.

I do hope they keep Sprong on his off-wing, though - really liked him at LW, like an Ovi-lite. Mantha, Oshie and Wilson make a pretty formidable right side, too.
