Wow. I'm not saying that Drouin is perfect, but you're a classic example of a poster that has it out for a given player. The reaction to what really goes on out on the ice seems at least a little overdone, to say the least.
I'll ask you one question. Did you watch him last night? Well that's how he has played (and worst) for more than half the season.

Except we were great at come from behind wins in 16-17 with both of them here.

Can’t blame last year all on them
who was blaming anything on them.

they both played like shit. Period.

Only good thing you could say about Patches last season? He's not as bad as Plekanec.

Awesome video, thanks for sharing.

Just look at him making Martin Brodeur look like a fool and pulling all these stunts right in front of Lemieux and Jagr.

Alexei Kovalev is a legend!

Kovy was a magician Drouin is an apprentice. And now lets talk about strength!

I mean, we swept last year's cup finalists, both times with comeback wins. That's character.

So we can only talk about a players injury history with full medical records in hand? This is a fan forum, what is so out of line about speculating about a players health - a guy that has missed significant time 3 out of the last 4 years?

Did I miss something, is this the Nashville board?

Exactly because it's a fan forum that certain caveats should be stated and not make assertions with limited or no reservations as if they were factual.

No, it's the Habs board with its usual hyperbole and bashing of ex-players. That's the most distinguishable part, actually.

The most irritatingly recurring theme in here is how one can't like a player traded to the roster without having to bash the player that was let go in order to acquire him. Apparently, the incoming player's value cannot be fully established on his own merits.

Weber has 5 goals in 13 games, he’s on pace for over 20.....it’s insane. Defensively he’s a beast.....he is my favourite Hab by far!!

Actually i was going based on Last years and this years stats..

If you take solely this season with 5 goals
In 13 games.. that’s a 34 goals
Pace over a full 82 game schedule.

Obviously won’t last but to see someone go from that to what some posters saying he will
Be done in a Year or two is ridiculous

Weber is a beast. And is a legit top line elite dman.. still

He was their 3rd Dman. So no it wasnt Subban that did that. Anyhow back on topic. As if one player makes the difference. We all know that’s the only move Nashville made to change the team

In no universe does PK affect his team by his absence or presence the way Weber does. Subban is a good player. Just not as important.

They're removing their #1 D and replace him with a #3, they instanly have more success in the playoffs and they finish #1 the following year.

your logic is impeccable

Subban lead us to a 9th last overall finish in his last year......where the beast mode disappear to???....we went to ECF because Price was God I thought?? Why did Nashville only win one playoff round last year??

Nashville is doing well because they have 4 really good D, a good goalie, nice centre depth and wingers who can score.

Anyone who refers to Subban as an idiot is not worth listening to.

Aside from being an excellent hockey player (one Norris win and three nominations) with high hockey IQ who has far more class and character (than his old boss for example), Subban also shows high IQ off the ice. He has numerous other activities. He's an eloquent and interesting interview subject, he is possibly the most stylish man in hockey, he stands up for his rights, he's active in philanthropy on multiple fronts in both Montreal and Nashville, he takes classes at Harvard University, etc.

If you're calling Subban an idiot, then you have no credibility as a poster.

When I saw his intense summer workouts which included lifting heavy tires I always wondered if these injuries would happen to him. Could be unrelated though

Yeah that's what I remember also. If I remember correctly, he added like 20-30lbs bulk one summer.

We all get too wrapped up in the tragedy that was losing Subban at his peak, and forget that at full strength, Shea Weber is still one of the best defencemen in the league. The trend seems to be looking at younger players emerging on D who can put up big numbers, but Weber is quietly continuing to be an incredible player, and at this point, barring unforeseen accidents, I'd say he's got a solid 3-4 years at this level left.

Or that Lidstrom guy that won a Norris at 40. Or the endless number of other d men that played great hockey into their late 30s . Entirely possible the Weber is healthier then Subban then next 5 plus years, can’t imagine the Preds like the recurring injury issues, less then 70 games two out of three years....

The recurring injury issue....

Subban missed 15 games twice before this season, in his entire career.

For the first time in his almost 10 season career, he might be missing more than 15 games and suddenly he's broken. Suddenly, it's an issue derailing his career even though he had a Norris worthy season last year, after getting those two first 15 games hiaitus.

Weber just missed more than a full year. He comes back good and suddenly he automatically becomes a sureshot to finish strong at 40 years old.

The bias is strong here.

Weber will play until he’s 60, he’s that good.

Thanks but it's pretty clear who the beast is.
How can you be so sure that the success is due to the acquisition of Subban? Maybe the departure of Weber makes them a better team. (Addition by subtraction)

Although we did go from finishing 9th last with Subban to being a playoff team with Weber so maybe Subban was bad luck?

It's all so confusing, the only certainty I know is Nashville continues to choke in the playoffs, with Weber or with Subban.
