Mr. "5-Minute Major" was officiating the Chicago/Columbus game this afternoon.
Chicago was assessed a "too many men on the ice" penalty with approx. 19.5 seconds left in overtime. The clock inadvertently ran down to 18.2 after the whistle. Columbus called a timeout and the players and coaches implored the officials to simply look at the play again and fix the game clock. Something that happens at least once, if not twice a game. O'Halloran refused.

Columbus scored a tenth of a second after the clock hit 0.00. The extra second would have allowed the game winner to count. The game went to a shootout where Columbus lost the game and their starting goalie to a probable season ending injury.

John Tortorella went on expletive-filled tirade in his press conference and stormed out.

What an embarrassment this bum is to the league. He should never officiate an NHL game again....
