The Story:
Sam Bennett has arrived.
Sort of.
Flames still not giving him his deserved ice time, but at least they're playing him at center again, and finally with wingers who are not Troy Brouwer. Three wasted years misused on the wing later. Lucic is a superstar power forward again. TJ Brodie is a 1D. Dube is a future star. Backlund is this year's Ryan O'Rielly. Gaudreau is saving all his magic for the Vegas Golden Knights. Mangiapane is a future star. Andersson is a star. Talbot is a star. Sean Monahan will probably get a chintzy PP assist. Derek Ryan is an excellent center. The Flames look poised for a fun playoff run.
No forward on the Stars is a star anymore because Seguin missed the back of the net a bunch of times and I expect that to be totally sustainable. Heiskanen is the best Dman in the series, but thankfully John Klingberg is soft and will eventually get exploited. Oh, the Flames lead the series 2-1. The Stars look poised to fire Jim Nill.
Calgary hope to take a stranglehold so they can advance to the second round for the first time in five years.
No one cares what the Stars hope, they're old. Perry already has a cup so he should just GTFO.
