What are your thoughts on it?

I love the idea of a non-contact summer hockey league for pros, I'd watch a game or two if some of my teams players were playing (especially young guys who might be on the verge of making it).

I just can't get over how awful the name choice is. Poor marketing and probably cuts down on some potential of the league.

I didn't know this existed. It's been around since 2015 too. Some pretty big names.

The stats page is hilarious: Statistics - 2018 2018 Regular Season - Da Beauty League

Justin Braun scored 4 goals in his teams first game

Just looked at the goalies list. Surprising there isn't any bigger named guys given the list of skaters that are there. I suppose there is a higher injury risk with goalies, as it's easy to tweak a groin, or whatever, where skaters with no contact is pretty safe.

If it becomes too big the NHL guys will stop coming, so keep it just as it is. YouTube streams and the two guys calling it are just talking about the players and hockey as the game is being played.

Jake Guentzal is a beast in these games.

This is more of a organized get together for players either born in MN or have MN ties is some way. Think of it as a get together of friends who play for bragging rights while putting on a show for the public.

If I were an NHL goalie, this would be the absolute last thing I’d want to do with my summer.

Stupid name but would love to watch.

Boeser has 6 goals in 2 games with 75% shooting percentage.

Yup, I've gone a few times, and they're not playing anywhere close to 100%. Still fun to go to. Easy to sit front row to watch a bunch of NHLers, and it's great for kids to get some autographs.

Even as a Finn, butchering the English language like that sucks.

Other than that - it needs to be marketed better. Maybe as a charity of some sort?

It already is a charity benefiting United Heros League and Shine the light foundation.

I don’t get what you’re saying. Is it even supposed to be marketed? Do they care about the potential of the league? It’s a summer hockey league for fun.

Well I'd image that they would like to have families/fans (specifically families/fans who can't afford to go see an NHL game for price reasons) come out and watch. It might not be a huge TV draw, but I'm sure this could pull a bit of gate revenue. Nothing over the tops but maybe a charity type thing like someone else mentioned.

Da Beauty League has to be the most douchebag sounding league possible though. Its the douchebag culture of hockey all thrown into a name.
