Michael Callahan currently playing for Youngstown in USHL - will be going to Providence College next year. From Franklin Mass, played prep last year at Roxbury Latin. Played in both CCM All-American Top Prospects and the USHL prospects games.

Write-up from another NHL draft site.

LHD Michael Callahan, Youngstown Phantoms (Ranked No. 123 NHL Central Scouting): Mobile two-way defenseman with a very hard shot who looks to transition the puck with his wheels or hard, crisp breakouts. Callahan is a very good straight-line skater who loves to join the rush and play aggressive inside the opposing zone, but the timeliness of his pinches and step-ups reveal a thinking-man’s defender who can be counted on to do a lot more than just hammer pucks. Nonetheless, his shot is quite impressive, and he gets a lot of mustard on his wrister or slapper off his back foot.

Good article on him and his potential -

From the New England Hockey Journal -

Callahan was traded to Youngstown in February. The Phantoms will rely on him to be a steadying presence on the blue line while chipping in offensively from time to time. For a big player, his skating and gap are better then most would expect. While he hasn't put up the points or generated the buzz of some prospects who stayed at the prep school level, it should come as no surprise come draft day when he's selected higher then expected. His skating continues to get better and he's adapted well to the grind of the USHL. Callahan will have a chance to showcase his skills in the Clark Cup Playoffs, as the Phantoms will be playing in the postseason.
