Norlinder's looking like a great pick so far. The things that I like the most about him are his calm and poise on both sides of the ice and his pretty strong hockey IQ with or without the puck.
Norlinder's most glaring weaknesses going into this year was a pretty ''meh'' arsenal of shots and below-average physicality. Obviously he has improved his shot this year, what with 4 goals in 6 games in the Allsvenskan, but he's also beefed up a bit and looks a bit stronger, harder to knock off the puck, out there than he did before this season.
If Norlinder keeeps progressing he'll be a pretty good one for us and, with guys like Mete, Romanov, Fleury and Brook all young and looking like future fixtures in the NHL (plus Struble potentially and Juulsen if he ever recovers completely), we'll be in business building a pretty strong team on defense.
