Is it a possibility for him to go in the HL this year ? he's burning the swe-1

You mean the SHL? No, that would not be possible. He really shouldn't go anywhere even if he could, younger players tend to develop quicker in Allsvenskan.

ya I meant the Sweden HL. When I'm looking at the swe-1 I see some 18-19-20 but also a lot of 30+ years old veteran, whats the point of it ? can't he develops in the elite league at 19/20 like other NHL players that did it ?

There is no such thing as SWE-1, I'm guessing it's Allsvenskan you are referring to. SHL is the top league. OEL, W. Nylander, Pastrnak, Wennberg, Burakovsky, E. Pettersson, F. Forsberg, H. Lindholm to name a few all spent at least 1 year in Allsvenskan, some after they got drafted and it didn't exactly hurt their development.

Norlinder's looking like a great pick so far. The things that I like the most about him are his calm and poise on both sides of the ice and his pretty strong hockey IQ with or without the puck.

Norlinder's most glaring weaknesses going into this year was a pretty ''meh'' arsenal of shots and below-average physicality. Obviously he has improved his shot this year, what with 4 goals in 6 games in the Allsvenskan, but he's also beefed up a bit and looks a bit stronger, harder to knock off the puck, out there than he did before this season.

If Norlinder keeeps progressing he'll be a pretty good one for us and, with guys like Mete, Romanov, Fleury and Brook all young and looking like future fixtures in the NHL (plus Struble potentially and Juulsen if he ever recovers completely), we'll be in business building a pretty strong team on defense.

Hmm. His shot is great, both his wrister and slapper. Last season too. Should use it more though.

His skating is elite and already NHL-level.

Is he good? Tobias Enstrom says he has nothing to teach him and that he could be a NHLer right away...

Anyone watching that Norlinder guy play? Is Enstrom stroking him good or what?
