Duncan Keith to Florida for Mike Matheson straight up.

Matheson seems to have fallen out of favor in FLA, so Chicago takes a chance on him turning his game around. 6 more years at $4.875.

3 more years at $5.538, Keith is just what the Panthers need. He's not a point producer anymore but would make a nice pairing with Ekblad.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but if the premise here is Chicago basically unloading Keith for not much (I don't believe they would...but...), then i hope the Leafs take a look as well.

Yes please, gimme gimme.

But why would Florida do this thou???. Also, why would any team want a player like Keith, 37?
- for the play-offs :dunno:
they probably want someone who's got loads of playoff experience and they're probably willing to move on from matheson

Most fans in Vancouver know Matheson.

Imo a fair trade would be Mathe(25% retained) + 2nd + 2nd for Keith

Im thinking one of the 2nds could be a 1st.

I just don't see florida retaining on their end.
As far as the hawks they won't move Keith unless he wants to go.
Expansion draft isn't a issue as of now in terms of who to protect.
And for us defensively he's still a top pairing player. He's regressed no doubt especially offensively. But still plays a really good 20 plus minutes a night.
