Didn't lose anyone off the active roster, added some solid pieces. Couldn't quite make all the moves I wanted, but definitely an improvement on last years' team.

Leafs have been drastically improved here. Looking at them, you can already see a major improvement in the top 9, even the entire forward core. This is a lineup, even without having Kadri called up, due to our center depth. We have a great forward core overall

Out defense is also very, very strong. One of the most promising young blue-liners headman's our first pairing, along with a really talented defender in James Wisniewski. Looking at our second pairing, we mix the young, and the seasoned to create a great pairing. Drewiske has cup experience, as shown in LA, and could really propel the Leafs with this going into the playoffs. He is young, and already has a ring. Franson and Kuba anchor our final pairing, which isn't too shabby. Franson is a young budding defender, who can be quite underrated, and Kuba is a strong defensive rock, who really proved his worth, turning things around this season. No more Komisarek guys!

You may say the goalie situation hasn't changed much, but I don't think Leaf fans gave Reimer much of a chance last season. He may have gotten hit in the head, and shaken up a little bit, but he is still the budding young star that we saw in Toronto a season ago. He has an entire off-season to prepare his mind, and his head, and to rest and recuperate. He has Mason backing him this season, which is better than the nothing he had last season. We have many young goalies in the wings aswell, incase of injuries, that are all capable. This season we are set, even if you may think we aren't. Reimer is looking for a bounce back season, and Mason is looking for a starting job. They will both be hungry

Now that my essay is done, :leafs

The additions of Andrew Ladd, Milan Michalek and Bryan Litltle give this squad outstanding scoring depth and tons of versatility. With Thornton, Couture, Pavelski and Handzus down the middle, we have arguably the best depth at center in the entire league. Ryan Whitney provides us with a high-end puck-moving defenseman and Kyle Quincey is a gritty, two-way rearguard who can play in any situation. Our transition game from the back end will be unmatched and we have an incredibly balanced and mobile defense corps. Antti Niemi is a Cup-winning goalie who steps up his play in the postseason.

We think we're a playoff team and beyond. With our D and our goaltending, I feel we can compete with any team that comes our way. On offence, we may not have the names that make you eyes light up, but in our top 6, we have 4 players who were top 25 point scorers at their respective positions (Ribeiro, Vrbata, Semin and Prospal), one who was FOURTH in the ENTIRE league in goal scoring at his respective position (Vrbata) and 2 players who are young guns who should progress very nicely and become 50-60 point players (Kreider and Johansen).

Additionally, we have a potential 60 point player on our third line in Huselius and he'll be paired with last season's breakout player Cam Atkinson (Who put up a 43 point pace) and Jarret Stoll, perhaps the best third line centre in the game today.

And we have Carey price. No big deal.

The Kings are already the defending Stanley cup champions, we have size, skill, grit, one of the best defenseman in Doughty, a conn smyth winning goalie in Quick. We have also been aggressive and have improved our team significantly as well.

We feel with the following additions that the Kings will stay a powerhouse if not a dynasty for years to come as we still have our core players that won the Stanley cup intact like Quick, Brown, Richards, Doughty, Carter, Kopitar. We have the best depth of any team, our 3rd line is good enough to be a 1st line of several teams.

[fieldset=2012-2013 Roster Overview]

Call it, Extreme Makeover: New York Islanders Edition. This is a much different, and much better version of last years team.

We improved significantly at forward, adding Travis Zajac, Jaromir Jagr, David Booth, Tyler Kennedy, Derick Brassard, Matt Halischuk, Dwight King, Michael Frolik, Steve Sullivan and Mike Rupp. The offense will of course, revolve around franchise super star, John Tavares. There is tons of scoring depth throughout the line up. We feel this group of players are extremely versatile, and we can put out a number of different looks. I don't think there is any line that can dish out the physicality of our 4th line.

Another major overhaul, the defense of the Islanders improved significantly. Mark Streit and Andrew MacDonald are the only returning members of last years group. They are joined by newcomers Willie Mitchell, Alex Goligoski, Zybnek Michalek, Mark Fistric and Tim Eixson. Mitchell becomes the steadying veteran presence. Goligoski is mobile, offensive minded defender, who will bolster the power play and help our break outs. Michalek is a terrific defender, who blocks a lot of shots and is excellent on the PK. Mark Fistric is just a big, physical, mean guy, who will make opposing forwards pay. And we have young guns Tim Erixson and Matt Donovan waiting in the wings.

In net, we made possibly the greatest trade of all time... Sending Rick DiPietro and his 214 year contract to Nashville. That alone improves this position. Oh yeah, and we also got Cory Schneider. Schneider is emerging as the premier young goalie in the NHL. We coveted him highly, and were beyond happy to have him between the pipes for a DP-amount of time. Evgeni Nabokov will be an excellent option for around 25 games this year.

So all in all, we feel improved in all positions, and the core is young enough to keep this franchise competitive for years to come.[/fieldset]

Hey who knows I might of approved it before as I do remember someone asking, but it's apparent you guys didn't finalize the deal right away and changed it, in which I don't see why I would waive it for Malone.

If you guys get 2/3 approvals, I would post the trade asap as you can't expect the commissioners to keep track, or if the trade changes then the you would have to redo the process.

Edit: To be fair, I did check my pms and I did so, so if you had already gotten kllr, then yeah you would have 2. I don't know why I did waive it but meh
If so this should be a good deal

We feel that we have one of the best rosters out on the ice. With a top 6 like ours consisting of stars Crosby, Malkin, Neal, Hall, Alfredsson and more, we can easily say we have the best top 6 in the league. And this has come without sacrificing our defense. A top 4 of Orpik, Letang, Smid and Hamonic should be one the best defensive cores in the league and with All-Star goalie, and Stanley Cup Winner MA Fleury back in the cage, we are the most promising team for the 2012-2013 season.[/FIELDSET]

Best D in the league featuring 3 #1 D. 4 scoring lines with 2way players and ample starpower. Starting netminder is a question mark, but with our new defensive system he will be great. As shown by Elliot, goalies are products of their system and Niittymaki has shown success when supported by a great team and system.
