I'm feeling pretty warm about both D taken in the 5th. Chevy's M.O. seems to be "draft puck-moving D that can skate well" for the last 2 drafts, and I couldn't be more pleased with that development.

Agree. Scored quite well on a team with a system where D generally score very little.

He and Chisholm are longshots, but they are mobile and not tiny.

Might need to alter the narrative about Jets drafting D from the OHL.

He will also likely get more of a role next year without Stanley on the team.

Sounds good. For example of the contrary, think of Luke Green in his D+1 season, when he was stuck with the Sea Dogs team featuring Zboril, Chabot and Bourque on the blue line. Vallati won't have nearly as many roadblocks in his path.

This seems like a solid pick for the 5th round.
