Nice, I will definitely follow this, especially now that I don´t find so much time to follow hokej.cz as much. Maybe you could steal one more ide and create an another thread just for Czech prospects/juniors and let this one work for the national teams only? I´d really like that. ;)

I was thinking about that, but personally I don´t see enough people around here, who could keep such thread alive and I´m not fan of many empty threads. That´s why I decided to post it here, we can say it´s related to czech U20, cause many of them will be at WJC ;)

Yeah, it´s too bad there isn´t more regular Czech contributors to this forum. :(
I´ve got an another idea though- maybe you could rename the thread "the official Czech hockey thread" or something like that and it could be stickied like the Hungary and Slovak prospects thread? Though of course anything major what anyone would feel that deserves it´s own thread, would still get one. Just a small idea though.

Machovsky was lights out stopping 51 of 52 shots as Guelph beats Brampton 4-1 in his first real chance to play the full game. He earned the first star of the night, impressive for a 93 goalie.

Not sure if this has been posted already, here Slavomir Lerner speaks about the current situaion of Czech and Slovak hockey.

http://hockeysfuture.craveonline.com/08draft/video/world-hockey-summit-slavomir-lerner-188819

Thx! Ive seen his WHS presentation, but not this video yet. to the topic - his performance there was all about coming/not coming of czech prospects to CHL. At first sight, it looks as a good step. But experience of the last decade gives us evidence about the opposite. I think Lener managed to prove there that guys who stayed at home at least until 18 or 19 were mostly doing much better in NHL than those coming over as younger kids. I think he has good vision of this problem and is able to do something about it in few years.

I'd add Jan Káňa (8+5 in 18 games) and Jan Kovář (6+7 in 18 games) to the list of reserves (if I was the coach) Both are playing well in the Extraliga and show promise.

Hopefully they will get their chance later during the season as well as Pohl or Salák etc.

Karjala Cup

This is possible preliminary lineup. But it´s not 100% it will be like this for the 1st game (it was only showed on TV during interview with the coach, so I don´t know if it´s made by him or just some guy in TV staff).

Marek - Červenka - Klepiš
Irgl - VašÃček - Kvapil
Kašpar - Novotný - Hubáček
Gulaš - Kreps - I.Rachůnek
Růžička

Sičák - K.Rachůnek
MojžÃš - Krajíček
Čáslava - Škoula
Barinka - Němec

Zbyněk Irgl probably won´t be at Karjala Cup, because he suffered concussion recently. We´ll see by who he will be replaced.

EDIT:
So now it is clear that Irgl, Sičák and Barinka are out due to injuries. They will be replaced with Gřegořek, Novák and Klimek.

Klimek? Seriously, his stats are way worse than Kovar and Kana....what's he doing there? He has the same number of points as Jaskin! Admittedly stats aren't everything, but still...... :shakehead

Don´t ask me, I would pick any of them instead of Klimek, so... let´s just hope the coach knows what he´s doing. Personally I like Hadamczik and I thought it was good, what he did with Vítkovice last season... but today, I´m starting to doubt about it, when I see, what Trličík is able to do in Vítkovice after so many players left. Now I think Hadamczik should have done better than lose final serie 0:4. Hopefully it will be ok with the national team, we´ll see.

Karel Rachůnek suddenly got hurt during todays practice and he cannot play at Karjala Cup. He will be replaced with Martin Lojek. The same thing happened to Martin Pláněk of czech U20, but U20 will probably stay without him only with 7 D-men and won´t invite another player.

'zorz' do you happen to have the score from Sweden-Finland in U20 4 Nations or a link to where I can find the scores?

Thank you very much.

The answer was already said by ChadS in this thread: http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=839706. Also simple scores of this tournament can be found here: http://www.hokej.cz/index.php?view=&lng=CZ&webid=379&id=0&rnd=&debug=&ban=&developt=&search_text=hledan%FD+v%FDraz&search_where=3&webuser_login=&webuser_passw=&news_email=%40&kolo=0&change_sezona=0&razeni=0&sezona=2010&ids=967&idk=0&act=.
