There will be 15 teams in the league this season. The team that finishes last in regular season will relegate to Chance liga. The team in the 14th place will fight for a place in Extraliga with the winner of Chance liga. 12 teams will play in playoffs.

Well, Pytlik didn´t play in Extraliga this season so I didn´t put him on that list.
There is a rumour that David Kase will sign with Sparta. That would be an interesting player for Extraliga.

I agree, I didn't say you made a mistake.

Pylik didn't really play anywhere... technically in litmorice for 4 games... he's played roughly 12 games all season.

Kase and Spacek are my 2 favourite non NHL prospects... huge fan of both! I'd be said if Kase ended up in extraliga.. I do think he'd tear it up and look good on national team for awhile!

I am curious how the juniors will do this season. Most of them will play mainly in the junior competition. The number of juniors in Chance liga is also likely to decrease. It will be interesting to see from which competition we will select players for the WJC U20. Maybe some players from the Czech junior competition will aslo appear there.

Jiriček and Gut are propably the only ones that will stay in Extraliga for whole season.

Trinec is going to have 3 Poles on the roster (or in the system, at least), really quite excited to see how will those guys do.

I assume, if given the opportunity, they'll all leave for the CHL. I do hope that Jiricek and Svozil come over and get top minutes and opportunites.

Matěj Beran, 27 years old left winger, who lead Chance liga in points with 52 points in 34 games (17+35) last season, is joining HC Rytiri Kladno.

Radovan Bondra, drafted 151 overall by Chicago Blackhawks in 2015, is joining HC Vitkovice Ridera after good season in Slovak Extraliga where he scored 51 points in 49 games in regular season (26+25) and 5 points in 9 games in playoffs (0+5).

Should the league change its name? The name Extraliga isn´t very unique and is used in other sports in Czech republic (Volleyball, Handball...). I think it would be great if the league came up with something new.

My fav second tier NHL prospect (along with Spacek). I think he'll do extremely well but I hope it ends with him back in NHL. I'm a big fan of his.
