Czech Extraliga 2020-2021 (Trinec wins championship)

Of the big 4 (Kaut, Zadina, Chytil and Necas) he might be my fav. He's not as talked about and will take a little longer but he could end up being fantastic for the Avs. Glad he's playing!

It's funny because I've always dreamed of a way to stop all the Czechs from leaving for the CHL when they are 16 and staying at home till they are at least 20 (unless they are NHL calibre and can step on the team right away). Something like that is happening now and hopefully it strengthens the Extraliga.

The strengthening of Extraliga will in effect strengthen other levels as well like Czech2, U20 league etc .Since there is more quality players taking Extraliga roster spots, the good young players will mostly play juniors instead of pro strengthening those junior leagues.

Found Safin... hurt, again. This poor guy has played in 4 different leagues with about 10 different injuries. His last 2 years is the very definition of derailed. As a Czech/Oil fan I really hope he can turn it around. I hated him in the ECHL!

Found it funny that, even in the Extraliga, the best D aren't Czech.lol It's a Czech (who is now gone) followed by a Slovak and Croatian.

Was a bit disapointed that Hajek and Zboril didn't assert themselves more as they are fighting for NHL jobs right about now.
