Curious case of the Sens PP

Our PP is ranked 1st on the road, but 29th at home. 26.8% vs 11.8%.. how? Theories, anyone? I just find it unbelievable

They get too fancy at home. Good powerplays are efficient, and overpassing can be a killer.

I've been to 4 games so far this year and not a single PP goal has been scored. I think they have had a total of 14 powerplays in those games.

What I noticed in all of those PP attempts is that they would get way too fancy and try to force the "jaw dropping" play instead of just out numbering the other team or even setting up a shot.

They try to make it look good for the crowd... but I'd be way more happy with a few solid shots on net with someone in front blocking the goalie's vision. A goal gets the crowd up a lot more than a failed forced move.
