Alot team names obviously have something to do with the city they play in. Some don't have any meaning though. Those 3 that you mentioned all have meaning. I especially like the meaning for the Predators. The Avalanche and Lightning names are very obvious.
I like the story behind the name of the New Jersey Devils.

That being said, out of respect for people who have been either struck by lightning, killed in an avalanche, or been the victim of a predator, I think all those names should be changed.

I knew where you were going with it.
I was just pointing out that I like the history of some of the team names. I dont like that teams are being pushed to change their team names. My old highschool had to change their team name.
