I was shocked to find out he was only 66. Been around forever.

RIP

He BEGGED Dollar Bill to change the TV policy but because Wirtz had promised his father he would not televise home games the Hawks just languished on TV. Corno tried to explain that only showing road games where the team would most likely lose would not sell tickets. Show people the excitement of the anthem and the crowd roaring but Wirtz would not budge.

Corno was hired by Charles Dolan to clean up the mess that Einhorn had made with SportsVision after the White Sox sold it to Cablevision for peanuts.

He felt awful last year when he was ordered by Rocky to fire Susannah Collins. His job was always secure as Reinsdorf loved him but he was also smart enough not to battle with McDonough.

I worked with Jim in the early years when Sportsvision was working out of a small studio in Oak Park and would continue to do work with him for decades.

He was a good man.
