5th-12th separated by 4 pts with 1/3 of the season to go. This is going to be so tight that if the Flyers let off at all they will be a wild card team or out of it. Det and Wash (both with game in hand) are out right now. This is crazy tight!!

It's going to take quite an effort to try and get some separation in the standings . What is crazy about our club is i do not even get remotely concerned when we are down a goal or 2 because of the way this club comes back in the end.........Hopefully that same characteristic of this club carries over to us getting in the show at the end of the season .

Thats true. Our next 3 games are winnable but the 3 testers to close out the month. We cant let off at all.

Look at our schedule coming up. We easily can go 1-6 or 2-5 going into the Olympic break.

Bruins, Red Wings, Ducks, Kings, Sharks, Avs, Flames.

That is a tough stretch!

And right after the Olympics, it isn't easier.

I imagine they will go 3-3-1 or 2-3-2 over that stretch.

Duno why, just a hunch.

I think they will beat 2 of the 5 good teams and lose to one of the Wings or Flames.

Imperative they beat the Isles on monday really... would give some really nice, needed breathing room, even if the room is not too big.

Tampa winning tonight and the Rags Caps game just not going to overtime would also help. I actually may prefer a Rags win... I think they are the better team than the Caps and more likely to make the playoffs regardless. The Caps will be battling for a wildcard spot come the end of the year I imagine.

So glad New Jersey hit a skid... they were looking good for a while.

If they beat the Isles and get 6-7/14 points from that stretch they will be on 63-64 points in 57... so 0.553-0.561 point %... which projects to 91-92 points... which should be enough for a playoff spot (93 is pretty much guaranteed), so if they get 6-7 points in those games pre olympics they will still be on pace for the playoffs. 90 points is most likely playoffs, though not guaranteed (75% chance.)

Weird to think this team could be second in the conference had they started 3-3-1 instead of 1-7.

Games I can easily see them winning: Red Wings, Sharks, Flames
Games I think they can win: Avs and Kings
Games I think they need to play extremely well to win: Bruins, Ducks.

Tampa just helped out.

This game is going ok (Rags Caps) as either way whoever wins aint good... but it is not looking like a 3 point game, which is the most important.

So long as it does not end in three points the Flyers playoff chances actually increase regardless of the winner (albeit minimally... 0.2%) OT would decrease the Flyers chances by 0.5-0.8%.

My mind says a Rags win is actually better as well for the Flyers (even though the percentages are equal)... drops a team chasing playoffs further behind, although the Rags and Cap point % is almost the same anyway.

Dropping like a rock. This could get ugly fast! A loss in regulation we're in 8th... with 9th and 10th right there. Tough games coming up. I'm not liking it.
