Has there been any rumours that the crowd size restrictions will be lifted for opening night? Is Vancouver the only team in the league currently that won’t allow full capacity?

Not sure. Seems like the Canucks are betting on restrictions being lifted. But you obviously never know with our government.

The buzz seems lower than usual for the start of the season, they should start marketing a bit more with an emphasis on fans returning (most don’t know what the conditions are).

Canucks start on a 6 game road trip. So they have close to 2 weeks before their first home game. Guessing a lot depends on how the lower mainland fares over the thanksgiving long weekend. We’ve been around 700 daily new cases. But more important is the number of hospitalizations and ICU beds.

They should keep it restricted.

Why the f*** would they expose more people to waste money watching this team live?

Save the cash and yell at the tv like most do.

Plus you can simultaneously be on HF Boards and voice your displeasure.

Need the live crowd atmosphere back, buzz is completely dead, check vaccine passports and require masks on at all times when not seated, have more sanitizers available than usual throughout the building, let’s fill up the place safely and pump up the noise! Let’s Go!

First Canucks home game is against the Wild on Oct 26, and the current plan is that as of Oct. 24 events can be full capacity in BC if all attendees (12+) show proof of vaccination. Don't want to get into the argument about the 12 and under stuff, but I think they've done what they can to allow for events to be back open.

Bonnie Henry says they're looking into it. I personally believe that it should be 100% capacity with proof of vaccine.
Bonnie mentioned the rising cases in the Northern health region as to why the restrictions on crowd capacity hasn’t been lifted…. Vancouver is the only NHL team to not be allowing full capacity and there’s a passport system in place.
