Ok, i have a friend here that does stats for the Moncton Wildcats, says that Sidney Crosby is not eligible in 2005, because he's born in August, so he misses the draft date. Is this true? Everywhere i read, everyone is saying that he's eligible in 05.

You should tell your friend to do a little research before he speaks. Crosby is eligible in 2005 and the draft date is September 15.

Correct....unless they re-write the eligibility criteria in the new CBA.....but that's a whole other can of worms all together.

The new CBA is the key to any and all possible speculation beyond this season.

It would be very bad for the kid to wait another year. He's dominating the Q at 16 and he now that he is going to be better next year. It would be very bad for him if they change the date and that he would don't have the choice to play a 3rd year in the Q where he'll put 300-350 pts
