Lots of talk on SNET and TSN that Edmonton has to make a move soon to change the direction of the Oil. Assuming Edmonton finishes last. Would you trade Edmonton’s 1st rounder in this upcoming draft for Crosby?
A chance to trade an established generational player for what could be the next generational player in McDavid.
That would slot RNH into the 2nd line center and would give you quite possibly the best 1/2 punch in the league. Most great teams ahve a great 1/2 punch down the middle.
People ask why would Pitts do this trade? Gives them long term cap flexibility and in a few years another Crosby like player, he can play behind Malkin without the pressure of having to lead a rebuilding team.
People ask why would Edmonton do this trade? You guys have a lot of young great potential but lack leadership and experience like Crosby would bring.
