After completing the "Top-20 Blues Prospects List" poll, I thought the next best course of action would be to have everyone create their own lists and average them all out to get a new form of consensus list. This way we get two have two comparable lists. We can see the differences, the similarities, create more talking points, etc. We have about a month left before hockey gets back on track, so might as well find something else to do in the meantime.

Please post your Top-20s below and I will send out the compiled list by this Sunday (August 25) afternoon. Let's make the deadline Saturday at 8:00 p.m.

This is always a fun exercise.

1. Kyrou (I think he can still be a top line forward)
2. Bokk (Top line forward, but has more to prove then JK)
3. Husso (Starter or at worst 1B)
4. Kostin (I think he winds up middle six with some speed and banging ability)
5. Alexandrov (2nd line center)
6. Perunovich (I think he has 2nd pairing upside - but will need to work on his defensive play - More to prove then Reinke, but higher upside).
7. Mikkola (He will be a call up this year - at best a number 4 and could be a Edmundson clone)
8. Reinke (only RHD IN THE WHOLE FRACKING SYSTEM, but I think he has bottom pairing upside).
9. Tucker (Could be the best of the dmen - definitely most improved over the year - if he continue his slope, he could jump past everyone at this time next yearand bypass everyone else).
10. Ellis (I will not let the summer showcase really dictate what I think). He can still be a starter, but has a long way to go.
11. Washkurak (Little engine that could). Likely a bottom line guy, but has a constant motor and decent hands (Sobi before he became a priss).
12. Laferriere (Another supprise from last year, he made team Canada summer showcase, but kind of was..... blah). That is much better then anyone would have guessed based on where he was drafted. They had a crazy stat. over 70% of the kids had been drafted in the first 3 rounds who played that week.....
13. Poganski (further along in his development then Foley and Topo and Stevens). Fits in with what we are trying to do with the 4th line.
14. Fitzpatrick (Binnington 2.0? or Jason Bascashula-spelling, but older guys know).
15. Foley (He has higher upside then Poganski, but he lost a full year of development and who knows with the concussion thing)
16. Toropchenko (I am not as high on him as others)
17. Stevens (that lost year of development after he was drafted really hurt him)
18. Walman (maybe this is the year he figures out the dzone - or moves to winger)
19. Joshua (No idea about this guy)
20. Andersson (just because we feel alittle light on D)

Without going line by line for comparison, this is pretty darn close to what I would put together.

Totally!

Whoever ranks Kostin below Kyrou, Bokk, Reinke, Mikkola, Perunovich and Husso is in line with my thinking.

Below Kostin, I really don’t care right now.

Bokk- I realize he is less of a sure thing than Kyrou but I like his upside more.
Kyrou- I'm probably only person here not to rank him 1st.
Perunovich- Big drop after top 2
Reinke- He and Perunovich were super close for me
Alexander- Really intrigues me
Mikkola- I question his upside due to questionable puck skills/instincts but looks like nice 3rd pairing D
Husso- Huge wildcard. Could be stud if last year was fluke.
Kostin- I just don't see it.
Laferriere- I've liked him since we took him. Think he has a real chance to be solid NHLer.
Tucker- This might be too low for him.
Hofer- Great size and athleticism. Lacks consistency but still super young.
Washkurak- Love what I read about him.
Poganski- Don't think he has upside of most of the guys above him but looks like another Mac Mac.
Fitzpatrick- I see a lot of Jake Allen in him. Both good and bad.
Toropchenko- Nice tools, question the toolbox. Looks like potential bottom 6er.
Ellis- So hard to project 18 YO goalies.
McGing- Nice speed and spunk. I could see him as bottom 6er.
Stevens- Like the intangibles. Question some of the tangibles.
Joshua- Seems like he is better on tangibles than intangibles. Iffy production but apparently has nice size/skill mix.
Walman- I was super high on him coming out of PC. If he doesn't show huge improvement this year I don't think he has future with us.

I didn't intentionally make these different than our voting exercise but since I don't remember the order of all of them I am sure there was lots of movement.

And I left Foley off after reading JR's comments. Sad. He would have been in my top 10 if he were healthy.

Sure, but I want to know what you mean by "sum up"? Do you want me to make a post listing that as the 2019 - 2020 Top-20 List? Or was there something else you had in mind?

Or do you mean that I compare the "create a list" with the voted list?
