If anyone is interested, I wanted to share this event. The flyers and the NHL just put out the press release and this is officially happening. Just read the basic info and rules/description, which of course are written in the normal madness of Gritty himself. This is going to be so much fun. Gritty even explains this is mostly a party and not so much even a run.

I'm running a 15K that day, but it's cool that they're using Gritty's celebrity status to promote their 5K. They should get more people entering and more money for charity that way.

Totally agree, plus they have a huge fan zone that will be setup for kids/family and an after party at Xfinity Live. Hopefully, this just turns into a massive party each year to kick off the season.
