Saw this on the main board, interesting little rumor. Doubt he switches sports but this seems like an odd thing for the Yotes to do.

He will get paid a lot more to be with another MLB team. I don't see it happening. Not unless he wants a job while waiting for a certain MLB team to come calling.

Collecting great minds isn't that odd. There's actually a lot of value in hiring someone that has no knowledge or assumptions about hockey, as long as they aren't the sole decision maker or something crazy.

Could be interesting as well. Never bad having an outside observer asking questions about how things are run. Could be a nice temporary thing that could make the FO more effective in the longer term.
