Hopefully the area recovers and the Coyotes have success in the interim. That would enable the IA guys to fetch a pretty penny for the naming rights come negotiation time.

Major employers in the metro area: State Farm, Boeing, Honeywell, Intel

I wouldn't mind GoDaddy Centre. We still have 3 years before the change but my guess is Gila River Casino Arena or maybe even Arizona Lottery Arena.

One more crazy one... I went to a game at the Staples Center and they had a big promotion for Visit Alberta. Since our owners have such close ties to Alberta maybe even Visit Alberta Arena.
Cool with everything except Visit Alberta. Give me the CondomDepot.com Center ahead of that. You can't name your building the "Go To Another City Stadium"

I'd love to tie a trip down to see a game with a chance to meet up with the Coyote HF Boards community and experience a true tailgate experience.

Vendors

Tailgating or not, they have to do something about the vendors. I think they replaced the last year crew and they have been terrible in pre-season. No Debit Cards (machines are always down) most are closed, the ones open seem lost. Then the kicker, last night the one that did take debit, ran my card twice, said it didnt work so I pay cash and guess what - have two debits on my card as well.

Hope they clean up there act before game 1 or tailgating will be a must for food/drink!

For those that have not headed over yet - I recommend bringing cash next week for the opener!

The concessions contract isn't up for another season or two if I remember right. Aramark furnished a lot of the stalls in exchange for an exclusive contract.

Where did you hear that new vendors were in place? I would figure this was something that would take time -- odd to void the existing contract and make changes before the first season unless there's really good reason to do so. I got to the firefighters charity game pretty early and saw Mr Leblanc walking around the concourse with 2 employees and kinda hovered near them long enough to overhear talk about the vendors and ushers.

By all means come down for a game, because Phoenix is a great city to visit (Edit: from October to April or so). But don't hold your breath, because DB Cooper is easier to track down than most of these folks ... ;)

I spoke with several servers last night and was told Aramark is out and Levy is in. I don't go to enough D'backs games to know if they're an upgrade from Aramark.

It would but after seeing how AT&T has the naming rights to 3 buildings, there is no limit really to which corporation/business can get their name on a stadium/arena. Which means there would be plenty of options besides local and state businesses. How weird would it be if the highest bidder turned out to be a business that has yet to break ground in the United States?

Anyways

Those AT&T named buildings are:

AT&T Park in San Francisco (SF Giants)
AT&T Arena in San Antonio (SA Spurs)
AT&T Stadium in the Dallas Area (Dallas Cowboys)

I don't think much of either one really. Though if they are switching I know a lot of people who will rage over the Nachos if changed.

Hope they keep the souvenir cups.

Did anybody actually like the nachos at the arena? I tried them last year and they were really bad. The only decent thing I was able to find to eat was the chuckwagon burgers on the 2nd level.

The plain chips and cheese nachos are awful, but the macho nachos are pretty good for what it's worth.

By the way, anyone know what exactly what's included in those new tinga nachos or whatever they're called downstairs? (They serve like 8 kinds of nachos at the arena)

I actually hate nachos so I have no idea if they are good or not. If I have to eat at the arena I usually go for the chicken strips/fries. Way too salty but otherwise workable.

I liked to go to the Coyotes Pub and drench my fish&chips with vinegar. And not just for the taste, which I love. Is this still possible?

Think I saw the Pub selling fish and chips when I was trying to find chicken tenders the other night.

Aramark is definitely out. My husband works with someone who worked for Aramark, she was let go and had had to interview with the new people.
