I will say that Chatfield has been better in this preseason than he was in Utica last year, where he was horrific. Hurt his ankle (?) really early on and wasn't skating well after his return on top of his complete inability to move the puck. He's been far more mobile and assertive in these games than he was last year, but you still see the puck-moving issues and lots of try leading nowhere.
But yeah. Utica's defense looks like a mess. Rafferty looks like he can replace McEneny as a fugly-skating puck-mover, at least.
Broke his foot.
